Becky G just gave New York Fashion Week a serious jolt of heat. The singer showed up at Grace Ling’s Spring show in a barely-there gray dress that clung to every inch of her body and refused to quit.
The look started with a hooded bra top held together by thin ties that framed her chest and left her midriff and sides completely open. From the back the fabric disappeared almost entirely, showing off smooth skin and the curve of her spine. The long skirt sat low on her hips and hugged her ass so tightly the shape was impossible to miss. A high side slit flashed her leg with every step, and the silver platform heels made the whole thing look even more dangerous.
She stood on a dark city street next to a white van, long black hair falling over one shoulder, looking back at the camera with that signature half-smile. Later she slid into the front row, still wearing the same skin-tight gray number, sitting next to other stylish guests while the lights hit every cutout.
Grace Ling’s new “Oddities” collection plays with the idea that sensuality and strength can exist in the same outfit. Becky G proved the point in real time. The dress did not just show skin.
