A long toy can look impressive in a photograph. That does not tell you whether it is the size you want to bring home.
When we first made Coach Cody, we built him around a specific idea: an oral-practice toy that could bend and move instead of holding one rigid position. The original model measured 12.5 inches overall. Some people loved the length and the way the soft body hung naturally. But liking the design and wanting that particular size are two different things.
So Coach Cody now comes in an S size, too. It measures 9.5 inches overall, with 7.9 inches of usable length and a maximum circumference of 4.1 inches. The original remains available, and customers can choose either size on its own or buy both together.
This is not a story about replacing the original. It is about giving people a real choice within the same design.

What Coach Cody Was Made For
Most of the True-to-Life dildos we make at JockTribe have a very different job from Cody’s. They are designed around character, anatomical detail and a particular fantasy. Our original athlete and uniform collections each have their own shapes and personalities; our Creator Signature Series consists of official collaborations with real creators.
Coach Cody belongs to the Uniform Fantasy Series, but his construction began with a practical question. What would an oral-practice toy feel like if it did not make the user work around a firm internal core?
The answer was an ultra-soft, core-free body. Unsupported, Cody bends and hangs rather than standing straight. That is intentional. Someone choosing an oral trainer may care about how much control they have over its position and movement, not simply how many inches appear in the product name.
The original Cody gave people that design in a larger form. The S size brings the same concept to someone looking for less length and less circumference. Neither size is a test of ability, and buying both does not mean you are supposed to “graduate” from one to the other.
The Two Sizes, Without the Guesswork
Product names can make size sound simpler than it is. “9.5 inches” and “12.5 inches” describe overall length, including the part you are not using for oral practice. Circumference is a separate consideration, and it can change which size someone wants even if length is not their main concern.
| Coach Cody size | Overall length | Usable length | Listed circumference |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 9.5″ | 7.9″ | 4.1″ maximum |
| Original | 12.5″ | 10″ | 5.6″ shaft girth |
Those numbers are there to help you choose, not to set a target. A toy with 7.9 inches of usable length does not ask you to use every inch. Neither does one with 10 inches.
The difference between the two models is also not merely three inches at the top of a specification sheet. The S size has a substantially slimmer listed circumference. For someone drawn to Cody’s softness but not to the original model’s dimensions, that may be the more meaningful change.
We would rather show both models next to a ruler, and next to each other, than expect customers to imagine the difference from two numbers on a screen.

Why Both Sizes Still Need to Feel Like Cody
Making a smaller version would have been easy to explain as a size update. But size alone was never the point of Coach Cody.
His defining feature is the way the ultra-soft body bends. There is no rigid inner support core holding the shaft upright. That makes him different from a realistic dildo designed to keep a particular shape under its own weight. We did not want the S size to lose that character simply because it was smaller.
There is a trade-off, and it deserves to be said plainly: a core-free toy is not the right answer for every use. Cody is designed for oral practice. We do not recommend him for anal use, where a shaft that folds rather than maintaining its shape can be difficult to position. If that is what you are shopping for, JockTribe makes other products with different construction.
I think adult-product writing often skips this part. Every feature is described as a benefit, as if softness, firmness, length and flexibility can all be maximized in the same object. They cannot. A good design makes a choice. A useful product description tells you what that choice gives you—and what it does not.
With Cody, we chose flexibility. With the S size, we made that choice available in another set of dimensions.
Which Cody Would You Choose?
If you already like the original Cody’s dimensions, there is no reason to treat the S size as an upgrade. It is a different option, not a correction.
The S size makes more sense if the original appealed to you as a design but felt larger than you wanted. You still get the idea behind Cody—an ultra-soft oral trainer without a firm internal core—in a shorter, slimmer form.
The original remains the choice for someone who specifically wants its longer usable length and fuller shaft. Some customers may want both because they prefer different sizes at different times. That is why we offer them separately as well as together, without pretending that one purchase path is right for everyone.
Pay attention to the measurements that actually matter to you. Someone can be comfortable with a product’s length yet dislike its circumference, or prefer a longer toy without wanting more width. “Small” and “large” are useful labels for a menu; they are not a complete description of how two products differ.
Cody’s suction base also needs a clean, completely smooth surface when used in a mounted setup. And whatever size you choose, you should be able to control the toy’s position and move away from it freely. Those practical details matter more than a dramatic product photograph.
The JockTribe Approach
JockTribe started with a love of male fantasy and realistic detail. That includes original athlete characters, uniform-inspired designs and official creator replicas. We develop our products in-house, but we do not think every product should share an identical internal structure just because it comes from the same brand.
Coach Cody is a good example. He looks at home in the JockTribe world, yet the decision to leave out a support core came from what this particular product was meant to do. His natural-hanging shape is not an accident or a flaw to explain away. It is part of the design.
Adding S did not change that thinking. It simply gave customers another way into it.
You can see the two sizes and their current options on the Coach Cody Deepthroat Dildo product page. For a broader look at our original characters and official creator collaborations, visit JockTribe.
The best size is not the one that makes the boldest headline. It is the one whose shape, measurements and intended use make sense for you.
